Cubs Win A and B-Team Tournaments

The Cubs B-Team and A-Team won the HAP league tournaments on Monday. We sure have a good bunch of boys, both on and off the field. I'm proud of them all. We missed you David. I hope you have a good, much needed and deserved, vacation in North Carolina.

Cubs Advance to Finals on Monday

The Cubs B-team beat the Astros and the A-team beat the Reds to advance to the finals of the league tournament on Monday. The Astros and Reds will play Friday with the winner advancing to the finals. The games Monday will be at the regular times.

Cubs Win Two: Play Tuesday(Tonight)

Both Cubs teams won Monday and will play Tuesday(Tonight) at the regular times. The winners of tonights games will play next Monday in the finals. The losers tonight will play the losers of last night this Friday. That winner will be in the finals Monday.

Tournament Starts Monday

The B-Team will play the Reds this Monday at 5:30. Be there no later than 5:15. The A-Team will play the Astros at 7:00. Be there no later than 6:45. It will be a double-elimination tournament. All games will be at the Allen Park. Please leave your name so I'll know you know about the games.

Friday's Games Cancelled: Tournament Starts Monday

The games for tonight have been cancelled. The last I heard, we will start the tournament Monday. B-teamers should be there by 5:00 and A-teamers by 6:45. Keep checking back here for updated information.

Cubs A- and B-Teams Both Improve to 8-0

The Cubs A-team and B-team both beat the Astros to improve to 8 and 0. Note that the schedule is different next week. We play Thursday and Friday instead of Tuesday and Thursday. These are the last two regular season games on the schedule.

B-teams Wins Squeaker; A-team Mercies

The Cubs B-team came from 4 down to win 11-10. The A-team won 11-1 in five innings. Dalton hit the league's first over the fence homerun of the year. Next game is Thursday against the Astros.

Two Wins Thursday

The Cubs won both B-team and A-team games Thursday against the Astros. I've not heard anything about make-up games or practice so I'll see everyone Tuesday.

Tuesday's Game Rescheduled

We will not play this Tuesday, May 18. That game will be played at another time that has yet to be determined. When I find out I'll post it here. See everyone Thursday.

Tonight's (Friday's) Game Cancelled

The game tonight with the Prestonsburg Rangers has been cancelled. No practice tomorrow. Tuesday's game may be rescheduled so keep checking here for more information.

Cubs Win Two; A-Team Game Friday

Both the B-team and A-team Cubs improved to 5-0 on Thursday against the Astros. There will be an A-team only game Friday, May 14 at 6:00 at Allen verses the Rangers from Prestonsburg. If you played in the A-team game Thursday and can't be there Friday, please call or leave a comment here. My cell is 226-0345. Please try to be there by 5:30.

Cubs Get Two More Wins Tuesday Verses the Reds

The B-team won 15-5. Kyle was the starting pitcher and Jaxon came in to get the last batter. The A-team won 8-7 with Dalton starting and Tyler finishing. Both teams are now 4-0. Next game is Thursday against the Astros.

As far as I know there is no practice or makeup games today, Saturday, May 8th. See everyone Tuesday.

B-Team and A-Team Cubs Both Win

The Cubs won two against the Astros Thursday. The B-Team won 13-5 and the A-Team won 16-1. Keep checking here for information on practice or a possible makeup game for this Saturday.

Cubs Win Two More

The Cubs beat the Reds Tuesday in both games. The B-team won 9-6 in 2 1/2 innings and the A-team won 7-5. The next game is Thursday verses the Astros.

Cubs win 2; Practice Saturday

The Cubs beat the Astros in both games Thursday. The B-team won 13-3 in 3 innings. The A-team won 16-0 in 4 innings. We will have practice Saturday from 12:00-2:00. Check here for cancellations due to weather. Our next game is Tuesday verses the Reds.

No Practice Saturday

We will not have practice this Saturday. The Reds play the Astros Monday so no practice Monday either. Our first game is Tuesday. All B-teamers(ages 10 and under) should be there by 5:00. If you are 11 or 12, be there by 6:30.

Practice Thursday

We will have practice Thursday, April 22 at 6:00. Our first scheduled game will be next Tuesday, April 27. Hopefully our uniforms will be ready by then. The league will provide only the shirt and hat. Each player must get their own gray pants. Last year the Cubs wore red belts and red socks so we will do the same this year.
